Conkwest’s portfolio is based upon the cancer killing cell line platform, Neukoplast (also known as NK-92) – the first commercially scalable, universally administered direct immunotherapeutic agent that can be used in its native form or adapted to numerous specific applications.
When the immune system and anti-cancer therapies fall short in eradicating cancer from the body, Neukoplast based products are being administered to study patients as a simple infusion to hone in on and destroy any remaining disease.
Neukoplast Combating a Tumor
Cancer cells develop various mechanisms for immune system evasion. These cells are then free to multiply and rapidly develop into sizable tumors. They remain virtually undetected by the patient’s cancer fighting immune cells, such as natural killers and T-lymphocytes.
Advanced disease further impairs the function of and even depletes native immune cells. Neukoplast infusional therapy replaces the critical immune cells with highly active killer cells which hone to tumor sites where they go to work destroying cancerous cells.
A single Neukoplast cell will destroy numerous cancer cells, and with several infusions of Neukoplast per course of therapy, billions of Neukoplast cells will be joining the fight against cancer.
